Jaco Firestop™ is a commercial quality, non-combustible fire, smoke, and draft stopping sealant for penetrations and construction voids. A water-based, non-corrosive, Non-Toxic, odorless compound that withstands 3000 deg F for 8 hr. Jaco Firestop™ can be safely removed with soap and water prior to curing. Jaco Firestop™ is safe and adheres to all common construction materials including ceramics, composites, masonry, metal, plastic and wood.
- Jaco Firestop™ is a multi-purpose non-combustible sealant
- Gaps exceeding one Inch may be partially filled with mineral wool or the use of a suitable backing
- Jaco Firestop™ should not be used in continuously wet areas or dynamic expansion joints
- Contact surfaces should be free of oil and loose debris
- Openings larger than one Inch can be partially filled with mineral wool or use a suitable backing material to maximize yield
- Cures to a firm non-combustible thermal barrier
- Jaco Firestop™ is a water-based Non-Toxic compound which can be safely removed with soap and water prior to cure
- Unopened containers are not affected by freeze/thaw cycles or seasonal storage up to 120 deg F and have an expected shelf life of one year
